“After Summer’s Gone” is the kind of song that I write from time to time that was not meant for me to sing. On nearly every album I’ve made, there is at least one song that was intended for another artist, or another kind of artist to sing, but that I simply liked too much not to record myself. But I’m still left wondering, what would Johnny Mathis have made with this one? Or Nancy Wilson?
